This kitchen had a great layout and beautiful hardwood floors, but everything else was stuck in the past. Beadboard cabinets, speckled brown granite, a diamond pattern slate backsplash, and a raised bar ledge that divided the island all made the space feel heavy and closed off. Our homeowners wanted a bright, coastal kitchen that finally matched their beachside lifestyle.

East Coast Construction SD kept the original footprint and the warm hardwood floors, then rebuilt the look from the ceiling down. We installed two tone cabinetry with crisp white uppers and deep navy lowers, finished with crown molding for a clean, custom look. The raised bar was removed in favor of a single level navy island with shaker panels, creating a wide, open workspace where the whole family can gather.

Bright white quartz countertops with soft gray veining now run throughout the kitchen, and a full height quartz slab backsplash behind the cooktop creates a seamless focal point with no grout lines to clean. On the coffee bar wall, a blue and white wave mosaic tile adds a playful coastal touch, while reeded glass cabinet doors and under cabinet lighting bring warmth and depth to the space. Champagne bronze hardware, faucets, and a matching ceiling fan tie every detail together.
